I have a 2001 honda civic, model HX. It has a manual 5 speed transmission, with 170k miles. The timing belt was replaced at approximately 160k miles. About 3-4 weeks after the belt replacement, the engine started to make a knock, pinging noise. The noise only occurs at 2500 rpm in 4th or 5th gear. Usually any rpm or speed less or greater the noise goes away. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
