I have a completely destroyed A/C condenser on my honda (I assume from debris over ther years). I have been driving around with only cool air when I get up to 70mph on the freeway (since the air gets to the few coils that are not bent went driiving fast). I bought a A/C comb but the fins in the condenser were too bent to be straightened out. I found a used condenser for a $100 but am unsure if I could handle changing the unit myself. How difficult would it be to take the old one out and put a new one in for a total novice for car repair? Am I forced to go to the mechanic shop? The car has 200K and it needs to go in for a second timing belt so anything to save some money I am definitely interested in. Thanks for any help or advice anyone can provide.

Sincerely,

Joe

Take a look at a Haynes manual to see how they walk you through it. I would shy away from it myself.
