Hi there,

I just wanted to query the estimated cost (AUS$) of replacing a crank shaft oil lead?

Background:
Noticed flashing oil warning light when turning corners, checked oil and replaced 4L of oil in engine.. Noticed that all the oil leaked out within 2 hours.

I think its because I've been very lax on my car servicing and did not know how to check my oil levels and this may have caused the massive leak.

Nicole,

Ok, sounds like you have a serious (big) oil leak. Make sure you keep the oil level between the high mark and the next mark down on your oil dipstick to prevent any further damage to the engine. It is just a matter of running the engine and finding out where the oil is coming out. Sounds easy enough, but it may not be. If you verify that there is a leak by visually seeing the oil puddle on the ground getting bigger the longer you run the engine it may be best to have a good Honda tech take a look at it. If no oil leaks are visible on the ground then the engine is "burning" the oil and it is coming out of the tailpipe when the engine runs. Hope this helps.
