2004 Honda Civic Coolant Sensor wires..

My check engine light went on- and I took it to AutoZone for free Analysis and was told to check this Coolant Sensor.
I had my father look at it- and there are two hoses come out of the radiator (i think)- the one that has the wires going to the sensor are completely disconnected- not sure how it happened-
But I also noticed the other hose- that has 6 or 8 wires plugging into something else- has 2 of the wires disconnected. I am not sure what this hose is plugging into.
Does anyone have a diagram of this area?
Also- if I buy the Electronic Coolant Sensor does it come with the wires to connect?

Don't buy the sensor, it is not the fault. The wire at the connector is broken.

Join up the wires and the problem would be solved.

thanks, but the problem seems to be there that there isnt enough wire coming out of the connector to be able to join them together.

when i went to the auto parts store they told me they dont even sell this part.

Yes, it is difficult to rejoin them back. Wires tends to break at this point due to vibrations, so make sure they are secured from vibration after repair.

The wire would come as a wire harness set which would be costly.

Go to the junk yard and ask them to give you a connector that is compatible and has longer wires then you can join them up with solder and covered.

This might sound stupid- if I was going to buy a new part (if the junk yard can't find one) what would I type in?
WHen I type in wiring harness it looks like it gives me all kinds of different ones.

Well, to replace the "engine wire harness" over 2 broken wires don't sound smart ;) You need to replace the whole wire harness to all the sensors and other parts on the engine, it would be time consuming.

I would rather get the electrician to do the job. They should be able to do it and won't cost a lot.

If the correct type of connector is not available, get any type for Hondas and you can reuse the original socket on the car by shifting over the wires..
