2002 Honda Civic Tire wearing question.

Three months ago I did a Tire checkup, it shows

Tire Depth
Left Front 12 12 12
Right Front 12 12 12
Right Rear 11 11 11
Left Rear 11 11 11

Yesterday I did another checkup, it now shows,

Left Front 8 8 8
Right Front 7 8 8
Right Rear 8 8 8
Left Rear 7 8 8

My front 2 tires are just 6months old. I just wanted to know if this wearing is natural or if something is wrong. I am a city driver and just take highways once in a week.

If this is bad, will tire rotation/alignment help, because it seems all the tire are equally wearing away.

Another thing is, what is the usual life of a tire in a Civic like mine.

I have 2 different types of tires in the front and the back, is that any reason for this?

Check your air presure,should be 32-35 psi
keep the the same type tires paired together front and rear.
tires wearing more on one side than the other will most likely be an alinement problem.
tires wearing outside and inside of tread air presure to low.
tires wearing in the center of tread air presure to high.
rotate tires every 5,000 miles
how you drive as well as the type of compound your tires are determends wear as well.Soft compound tires are great for traction but are short lived.
You should find this info on the sidewall of your tire
tread wear/traction etc.
Ask your tire salesman next time you buy tires just remember high traction,lower tread wear, means you get less miles out you tires.

honda OEM bushings are junk i had a similar problem on my 02 ex and it ended up being my control arm and sway bar bushings if you do replace them be sure to get polyurethane
