Whats the best thing to do get a valve job for 900.00 or get a used engine for 300.00 and pay 500.00 for labor? What would you do? Should i sell the car when its fixed? Is it true the engine will start using alot of oil because of the greater compression in the replaced part of engine? We was running 85 on the interstate when the timing belt broke on the civic is a non interference engine but mechanic put new timing belt on and the valves are bent. What should i do? thanks alot...

I'd get a second opinion first. A snapped timing belt on that vehicle will not bend any valves. Do a compression test, if they are really off, I'd suspect that the belt is on wrong.
