2001 Honda Civic computer or trans ?

i have 2001 civic that after 5-min drive it stop running ,engin works fine but trany slippery to the point of not moveing even on high idel ,and after stop engin and waiting 2-3 min start engin again then take me another 5- min of driving befor it so slippery that i cant move ,i replace with another trans that have very low mile and it does this again ,feel like i have computer problame or bad trany again ?

Hi Dave,

If your are saying that the Engine Dies and you have to wait for it to cool down then it is most likely and engine problem not a tranny problem. If this is the case then run vehicle till it dies agian and check to see if you have Spark at the plugs.
