Computer problem
2000 Honda Civic Front Wheel Drive Manual 120000 miles

Hello,

I recently had to get my car smogged to register my vehicle. After needing to replace the oxygen sensor to pass the emissions test, this P1607 Code came up, causing me to fail the functional test. My mechanic said this has to do with the computer, so he unplugged everything, let it sit for a few minutes, and tried it again only for the code to come up again. The check engine light has been on red for a while, but my mechanic checked the car out and found no mechanical reason for it to be on. Anyone know how to fix this code so I can get my car smogged an registered? About how much will it be to repair? What parts do I need and how much will it cost to get the parts?

You can try a Honda dealership to see if they can reflash the PCM. If refalsh is not an option, you have to get a new PCM.
