This car sat for probably 6 months and wasnt started so when I started it the belt was squealing and smoking, would it be the alternator wheel stuck or one of the other wheels that is making it do this? will WD 40 work or do I have to hammer on the wheel till it breaks loose? thanks veyr much

Hi dsmgt01,

You need to check which pulley is not turning with the crank pulley to determine which is at fault. The problem is due to a seized bearing and you need to remove the item out to replace the bearing to rectify.
Should either be alternator , A/C idler pulley or compressor.
