1998 Honda Civic WINDSHEILD WIPERS

Hi RVARGAS64,

Check the intergrated control unit attached to rear of underdash fuse box.

LAST WEEK DURING A RAIN
TURNED ON WIPERS , WORKED FINE
TURN SWITCH TO OFF POSITION,
BUT STAYED ON!!
SLOW /FAST WORK FINE, INTERMITTIN NOT WORKING.. ONLY WAY TO TURN OFF , WAS BY REMOVING FUSE .. PICKED UP A SWITCH AT JUNKYARD. THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY..
SAME THING WILL NOT TURN OFF..
HELP!!

The windshield wipers do not park or shut off when you turn the windshield wiper/washer switch OFF.
PROBABLE CAUSE Broken park position reed switch.
CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the windshield wiper motor.
