I've never worked on any care in my life, but I would like to learn. My 98 Honda needs a tuneup, is it foolish of me to try this?

Hi there,
A basic tune on your car is not that hard to do, but there will be some tooling & equipment needed to do a good job, you should get a work shop manual and read up on the tuning section, then make a decision to do it or have your mechanic do it, it's really a matter of are you comfortable in working on this car and do you have the equipment needed.
