1998 Honda Civic Rear wheel "tilt"

The rear wheels on my civic seem to be developing a "tilt" to them (top of the tires angling in towards car). I've noticed this problem on other civics, some much worse than mine. I haven't noticed any change in handling qualities, but i'm concerned that may develop in the future, along with uneven tire wear. When a vehicle ages, the springs sags, arm bushes wears or distorts out of stress and this would cause the camber to be affected.

The correct fix is to replace the bushes and spring but then that would cost a lot of money and time. Generally if there are no abnormal tire wear, then there is nothing to worry about because there is some tolerance for such happenings.

Howeve if the wear of the tires are more on the inside, then you need to do rectification. If bushes are stiil in working order and not torn or worn, then the easiest way is to adjust the camber with the aid of shims to the upper arm. Vehicle is not equipped with adjustment for camber so shims have to be used.
