HELLO
Today i was connecting my aftermarket radio everything was working. I disconnected the radio to put my dash back in i tryed to connect it again and it didnt turn on. I think i might of let wires touch but now my red wire does not have any power but my yellow wire does . I went ahead and took a wire and went to the fuse box located under my hood and saw the radio back up fuse was blown. I replaced it and still nothing soo i took the wire and connected it to my back up radio fuse and the radio did turn on soo i am guessing its something between the fuse box and the red wire in my dash. the fuses under my steering wheel are fine also i'm baffled ????

Hello

Now if I understand you correctly. The only current problem is you have no power to the red wire with the key on? Here is a guide and the radio wiring diagrams so you can find where you are losing power.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

My car is a honda 98 civic ex. I was trying to connect an aftermarket radio with an aftermarket harness i unpluged the harness to put in my dash and i think the wires might of touched so now the red wire has no power. Yellow wire does have power. I went up to the fuse box under my hood and connected a wire to my back up radio fuse and ran it to the radio thru the outside of the car turn the key and the radio turned on. I checked the fuses on the driver side they all seem to be fine. I know i could probably run a wire from my batt. the the radio with a fuse in between but i would really like to do it the right way...???

Hello - I have attached the wiring diagram in parts.......so you can see it better and print it out and tape it. From what I see the constant hot is fuse 47 under the hood white/blue wire and the fuse 28 under the dash is switched on yellow/red wire. Check those to see if blown and use an ohm meter or new known good fuse.
