Hi,

I can start the car without problem, but when I shift into first gear and press gas while releasing the clutch, the engine revolves at a high speed, but the car moves very very slowly as if i still had the clutch pedal pressed down while driving. When I release the clutch pedal without pressing the gas (while in gear), the car stalls as usual.

the car went from normal to this condition in a span of a few days (2-3), not instantly, but was getting progressively worse. At times I felt a burnt smell.

What could it be?

Thanks.

Hi there,

This is sounding like a burnt out clutch, the gear box will have to be removed to fix.
