1997 Honda Civic Name of part that holds door open on front

Hi all, I am looking for this part number to order.
Recently I had a cyclist hit my door as I was opening it on the front driver side. Thankfully he was fine but my door actually broke.. let me explain.. the part (is it a hinge?) that holds the door open doesnt work beacause of the impact.. so when I normally would open the door all the way, there is this mechanism that holds the door open for you.. that part actually no hangs limp from the door..
Sorry if I am being repetitious.. :)

I cab try to post a pic if necessary, I want to save money and want to order the part online so my mechanic can install it for me.
