I don't know f this is under electrical or not, but my SRS light is constantly on on my dash. It's never done that before. I checked all the fuses and they are in good working condition. Checked under the driver seat, works fine. all fuse boxes were checked, no burnt fuses. Tried resetting ECU, but still on. Need Help.

Hi khamxiong,

Did you do anything twith the steering?

Get a scan done to find out which component of the SRS is malfunctioning. High possibility it is the driver seat belt receptor.

Hi khamxiong,

When the SRS indicator light shows, the control unit cuts off, so you might not get anything.

You MUST scan and find out what is wrong before proceeding further.

Hi khamxiong,

There is a Service Check Connector at the main fuse box for SRS, yellow in color and plug into an empty slot.
Looping it would show some blinking codes, but not easy to decipher.
It can be used for resetting though.

ok i located the yellow connector in the main fuse box, i looped it using a wire, casue i don't have an obd1 code reader. it stayed on for about 5 seconds when i turned on my car, then it went away, then it came back on after about 10 seconds. don't know what this means, but any help would be super greatly appreciated. oh and before i did this, my seat belt light didn't work, until i tried this method, that's when it worked again. Any Help Please.

Hi khamxiong,

Do the resetting first and see if it solves your problem.

1. Loop service connector.
2. Turn ignition switch on.
3. SRS light should go off in 6 seconds.
4. Within 4 seconds, remove loop and plug in again.
5. SRS should blink 2 times to confirm reset is ok.
6. Turn Ignition switch off.
7. Wait 10 seconds before starting.

Note. If after step 4 and the light remains on, repeat process again. If it does not work, you need a scan to find out the cause.
