I started my car this morning and noticed a plume of white smoke coming from my exhaust. My neighbor walking by stated that it was probably an oil leak. I have had a problem with my coolant reservoir boiling/steaming the last couple of weeks and engine temp gauge almost approaching H. I have added coolant and water to keep it from overheating but levels have dropped throughout the week. Any ideas?

I believe you have a blown headgasket runnig hot with an alluminum cylinder is certain cause of failure.
Check oil for water ie oil will look like a chocolate shake. Pull plugs pressurize coolant system wait a while then crank if water comes out plug holes you have verefied a headgasket failure.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your response. How do you pressurize the coolant system?

Thank you again for your response. What would be the result of driving with a blown head gasket? I know it can't be good for my engine but don't have the funds right now to fix. Have you ever used or heard of anyone using "Heal-A-Seal" or "Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair" or any other head gasket repair formula in a bottle?

Thanks,
Greg

Those products are like putting a bandaid on a laserated artery. Save your money when your neighbor notices the smoke you are way past snake oil. If your oil looks like a chocolate shake and you keep driving the engine will self distruct. Water is not a good lubricant. Park it take the bus.
Good luck
