My civic dx drives great but however im pretty sure my car came with power steering but not positive.Would anyone be able to tell me if it did? Because when i start my car up i have to put most of my effort in just to get the steering wheel to move.As soon as i get going its no problem just seems a lot rougher compared to al the other vehicles ive had.And usually when the pump goes out it winds real bad but i hear nothing. And im not really sure if a car could still run without the steering pump in function.Any help would be great. Thanks!

Back in the day P/S is an optional equipment. The easiest way to check is to physically look under the hood.

If you have one, P/S pulley should be at the top of the engine on the driver side. On this example photo, this one does not have P/S.
