Electrical problem 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 98000 miles

I installed a after market radio about 2 weeks ago and the radio grounded out and i had to change the interior harness no the instrument lights and my tail lights and parking lights don't work a friend of mine wired it all the the dimmer wire on the radio harness and i got all my lights back but they come on and stay on when i turn the ignition on how can i fix it back to normal.

Obviously there is something wrong with the rewiring.

When you say all the light stays on when ignition is switched on, you mean to say tail light, instrument light etc?

If yes, then the lighting current supply is coming from the ignition instead of the combination switch. Since the wireharness was damaged, there is a possibility the light and ignition wire are fused together due to heating caused by the shorting of the radio.
