I have a cv joint that needs to be replaced. I am wondering if going to the U-pull it and getting one off a used car(obviously in the best condition I could find) is a stupid thing to do or not? I just don't have the money for a new one at $179.00. I would buy new boots.

Thank You
Teresa

Well, replacing a damaged part with a used part is never something I would suggest. I always recommend buying new parts, however I do realize that money is tight these days. As long as you are sure that the used part you get isn't damaged, it should do you for a little while. You should replace it with a new one as soon as possible though.
