1990 Honda Civic low air flow

Hi theguilbeaus,

If the blower motor is not OEM, check if the terminals are reversed. This would cause low air flow.

Other possibilities are
1. Clogged AC evaporator fins.
2. Stuck air flow controls. Air would be coming out of other areas.
3. Leaking joints, symptoms similar to 2 above.

are you talking about power terminals? because its not OEM

Yes, sometimes the motor runs in reverse direction depending on the motor. If that is the case, you would have to reverse the power by switching the input terminals.

awesome that was it. one more thing then, my ac runs on R-14 however I heard it may work with R-134a with POE. is this true?

Technically both system are not compatible.
R12 uses a lower pressure whereas 134 is a high pressure system.

Practically it has been done and the only thing you might encounter is the cooling efficiency and the problem of filling the gases which uses different joints. You would have to get an adapter to fill in the gas.
