I replaced blown head gasket. Engine comsumpts one quart of oil every two days. Smokes at start up but smoke is not visible while driving. Was cheched by friend driving behind me. I'am concern about the oil returns from the cylinder head it seems to be draing. Could be causing engine to burn oil by having to much oil in the head. Would like to know any possible solution to this problem.

Hi aloldschool,

When head gasket was replaced, did you replace the valve stem seals? If not, the you need to replace them. they would cause at least 70 % of the oil consumption. Special tools are available which would not require removal of the head. But you need regulated compressed air to keep the valves from falling off.
