91 accord EX A/T, 120K, changing timing belt. called the part dept. of Honda dealer asking quotes for parts... they said no need to replace tensioners, does he know what he's talking about, b/c they do sell timing belt kits that includes those tensioner? can they be adjusted w/out replacing?

from one of my experience with an 88 accord, carb., 218k the tensioner broke ( didn't replace it when the timing belt was replaced earlier).

If your in there, why not replace it? It seems like a logical thing to do.

Tensioner is not a big deal and yet you seem to make it so. The timing belt is important to have in good shape. Y not replace the water pump too?
