I have a Honda Accord Coupe 1997cc, year 1995/6, 55,000 miles.
Car won't crank. Definitely starter motor related problem since a roadside mechanic bypassed the usual systems and it started with the ignition key as usual. He made some connection as a "one off" between the starter motor and the battery, I think. (I couldn't see exactly 'cos I was in the driver's seat, to turn the key).
How do I know whether the problem is solenoid or starter motor and how can I use the bypass method to start the car now to go to a workshop?
Thanks
Colin
