Hi,

I have Accord 2002, 58,000 miles - mostly city driven. Since about a month, the car has started making squeaking sound over bumps. I just had $250 servicing done by Honda who claimed that the technician did not notice any sound. So they oiled [i:69253dd584]something[/i:69253dd584].

I still hear the sound, and have asked them to arrange them for another appointment. They haven't called since 7 days.

Q1. What could be wrong and how much could it cost?

Q2. Since boot/tire etc inspection is covered in servicing, is it fair not to pay for labor this time?

Thanks for keeping up the Good Work,

Zita

Squeaky sounds could be brakes or it could be rubber such as mounts that are not completely tight or on older vehicles (and yours I do not consider old). There are torsion and sway bars that employ rubber as do the motor mounts. Squeaking sounds are so very hard to find. If you initially took the car in to find the noise and they did not find it, I would tell them to do the job right. You might pay for a few parts, I am not sure. I would, myself anyway, drive the vehicle and attempt to locate the sound or narrow down the exact corner of the car it comes from. Good luck!
