I have a 96 Honda Accord LX V4 1,20,000. Recently my radiator failed when i was on the highway due to the leackage of coolent that i did'nt noticed. Due to the heat the valve which connects to the engine burnt. I tried to pour some coolent in the radiator and after that i drove 1 mile to mechanic and found the white burnt content all over the radiator ,i think due to the coolent i filled on heat.
After that i replaced that with the new radiator, Thermostat, and the valve, and worked fine for 4 days and after that the engine started to get over heat in no time after i start the car. I took that to the same mechanic thinking the new thermostat is having some problem. And the mechanic says it has something to do with the engine and he sais it costs me $1500 bugs. I was surprised by that amount.
So please help me what is the exact problem with the radiator and whom should i approach with this kind of issue? Please reply me.Thank you
