Hi, I own a 1989 Honda Accord EX, mileage is 324,542. I am having a problem with my power window system. This winter, when my car was dead frozen cold, the power windows work just fine but as soon as my interior and everything warmed up every single window was dead. Now with spring here, my car is warm enough that my windows won't work at all. I tried the driver side the other day and it rolled down an inch then died. Now it won't roll back up. No mechanic I talk to has any clue why they would work dead cold but not work in a warm car. I also checked the relay and it's fine. Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Thanx.

I had to replace all four window switches on an Accord for just this reason. The switches themselves have di-electric grease on the terminals inside the switch assemblies. When it is cold, the grease is thick enough to still help the terminals make contact, but when the grease warms up, the terminals don't get any contact. Replace the driver's switch and go from there.
