My horn occasionally goes off while it is parked. Yesterday I had to unlock the door and hit the horn that is located on the steering wheel to make it stop. Several hours later I went to start it and it turned over fine but wouldn't kick in. Tried jumping it but didn't help. I let it sit for a few minutes went back and it started.
It is a 2000 Honda Accord v6 with 150,000 miles on it.
Thank you

I can't make the connection between the two. So I advise you to treat them as two seperate issues. During that time when it happens again, and I would bet it will, find out if it is putting out a spark or getting fuel in to the cylinders.

The horn issue could be a switch for the horn. It could be weak. Is the wheel black and the weather warm or hot?

Where is the switch to the horn and how do I find out if it is weak? Yes it was extremely hot yesterday and the wheel is dark colored.

Thank you so much :0)

That switch assembly is located in the air bag area of the wheel. If you are not real comfortable dealing with the air bag, take it in for someone to look at.

When the car fails to start have someone help you out. Pull a wire from the spark plug and using an old plug or one out of the car connect it and hold it to ground and have the other turn the engine over a couple of times and observe the spark. Is there any?

Got spark? If so check to see if there is a strong smell of gas in the cylinders.
