Greetings. My daughter's 1990 Accord 2.2 Ex died while driving. I got 12V to distributor but nothing at the plug. I replaced the distributor with a new not rebuild from Oreilly Auto Parts. Car ran fine for a day then check engine code 4 (crank angle) and no power under load occurred. I took it to a certified mechanic who said the distributor was bad. OReilly replaced and I reinstalled the new one. I cleared the code 4. The car ran great for a day. Then the exact same thing is now happening. I have heard everything from a bad distributor (again) to a bad ECU. The car runs but lacks power, and crank angle code. I was told I could have the ECU tested to verify. I am open to any suggestions. I do not want to put to much into a car that is not worth much except to my daughter. Thank you.

The crank sensor could be failing and thus the timing is out of whack. Not far enough to not run but far enough to lack the power it needs. Here is a test for the alternator. I am sending it out by email to you.
