brake lites dont come on wen brakes are pressed

I have a 1996 Honda Accord 2.2 v-tec engine 146,000 miles on it.I bought my car with a hit to the back.My right brake light was not lighting up when i pressed the brakes.I changed the bulbs in the right and left side but only the left was lighting up.My dash board has a sign reding brake lamp were the lighting to show which door is opened or close is.All of the fuses are good.Now my left light bulb blew and i changed it but it only came on once wen i pressed the brakes.Now only the right light comes on when i turn on the head lights.I have no brake light when I press my brakes can you help me with my problem?
