battery light

I have a 1989 Honda Accord LX 175,000 miles. I had the battery light come on last week. Checked battery and alternator, all good. this am, I travel about 15-20 miles from home to work. Once I got to work and backed into a space, the engine revved tried to kick down before I turned off, no good, sputtered turned back on and then still revving had to turn off and again sputtered for a few seconds. Help, what do I need to look at.
