94 accord ex engine surging

I have 94 accord ex coupe with 128,345 miles.
when the motor warms up the temp gauge stays low, and the engine surges when idling, and the heater stays cool.
how do i fix it?

check your thermostat and start with a good tune-up on your engine (oil, spark plugs, wires, air filter,fuel filter, distribuitor cap and rotor)
