92 Accord 2 EX dr trunk open light stays on

Hi, recently the light on the dash to indicate the trunk is open stays on if the trunk is closed, Sometimes it flickers off, but mostly it stays on.
It has been very rainey here latley, could moisture be the problem? The trunk is definitly closed.
The car is an EX-R model, with 80,000 km.
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sure , look inside at the latch assembly and see if it is wet.If it is try blowing it out with computer cleaner, just might work
