90 Accord heater stays on higher speed

1990 Honda Accord, 170 K miles. The blower motor stays on a higher speed and the switch won't turn the blower motor down or off. I can turn it up another notch but that's about all she wrote. Possibly the switch itself? Is there some type of relay box that controls the blower motor switch?
Any help with this problem is appreciated.

Should be the switch you are looking for.

I replaced the fan motor switch in the heater control panel and the blower motor still stays on a high speed. I can disconnect the wiring plug from the fan speed switch and the blower motor still runs at high speed. Anything I'm missing here? What else would keep the blower motor running? Any hidden modules? My Chilton doesn't cover troubleshooting for the heater.

Thanks,ludedude

There is a relay under the hood in the fuse box. Check that and possibly swap with another that is the same.

Bruce, I changed the 30 amp relay in the fuse box under the hood from a 91 Accord I'm fixing up for my nephew. That did the trick. I have some spare relays for my lude but the contacts are a little longer than the Accords. I than put the faulty relay from the 90 into the 91 fuse box and both heater fan switches are working correctly. I'll get a few new relays as spares just in case.
Thanks again for your help.
