I took my vehicle in for a diagnostic on the transmission and the tech told me that the throttle cable for the transmission had broken and need to be replaced. He also said that it would cost about $150 to replace. The tranny slips a little and shifts early (told that is due to the cable being broke). The question that I have is this; Is this cable going to fix the problem or should I just get rid of the car (I ask that because the rebuild on the tranny is about $1500-$1700)? Any assistance on my decision would be appreciated.
