I just purchased a brand new 2009 Honda Accord EXL - V6 about a month ago. It has 700 miles and I noticed oil leaking onto my garage. I stopped driving it almost immediately and had it towed to the dealership.
The dealership has indicated that the main rear sea failed. The car also has some minor noise in the front left when I turn the steering wheel after it is first cranked in the morning - the noise goes away quickly and doesn't reappear until the next morning when I start it again.
I am very dissappointed and irritated at the cars issues after only 700 miles of driving.
My question is not how to fix the issues. I would like to know if you consider the rear main seal failure enough of a problem to push the dealership for a new automobile. I am somewhat skeptical about this particluar cars quality control review when it came off the production line.
Thanks for your thoughts.
