window motor and regulator?

You need to replace the regulator it's broken.I found a regulator with motor for 47 plus shipping.No you can't take the door apart you just have to work around the sheet metal in the door. This video will give you an idea on how to change out the motor and regulator.

How do you replace the window motor on drivers side for power window

The motor is to be replaced as an assembly with the regulators. I have the replacement instructions for the window motor and regulator in the diagrams below. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I'm trying to replace a window motor in the front diriver's side. I cant disconect the regulator from the window. The window is full up, I cant get to the inside bolt of the two bolts that connect the window to the regulator.

To replace the motor you have to remove the regulator from the door.

Remove the door trim panel.
Remove the screws securing the pull pocket bracket. If equipped with power windows, remove the nut securing the center stiffener.
Remove the plastic cover (vapor barrier).




CAUTION
When removing the window, be very careful not the drop the glass inside the door!


Carefully raise the glass until the bolts are visible, then remove the bolts. Carefully pull the glass out through the window slot.
disconnect and detach the connector and harness clip from the door. Remove the bolts then remove the regulator through the hole in the door.
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

My power window on the driver side just recently started making a clicking and popping sound when I tried to roll it down. I tapped it a few times and it went down fine. When I rolled it up, it went up fine, but a little crooked. When it got to the top, it started clicking again. Could this be anything {BESIDES} the window motor?

The motor and regulator comes as an assy. Most probably you need to replace it.

The glass winds up slanting means the runchannel is not in good condition, you need to lubricate it with wax or silicon spray. DO NOT use oil based fluids for lubrication.

I was able to get the interior driver side door panel off. But I see another metal plate that makes it difficult to get to the power window motor and rod. Can that metal plate come off? Or do i have to work within the holes to get to the window,

motor, etc.

Here is a guide that shows the similar process as above. However to directly answer the question, no that metal panel cannot come out as that is the inner door skin. that is the structural part of the door and it is welded in to the outer door panel (the painted exterior panel).

If you cut that out the door would lose its structure and it would buckle so unfortunately you need to work through the openings that are provided.

will not roll up or down on the drivers side pretty sure the switch is bad i was told i can hook a battery charger up to the motor to get it to roll up till i can get it fixed , so how do i hook the charger up to the motor

i really woulnd't do that as you really dont' know if the switch is really bad or not. Try slamming the door hard and see if hte window goes down. If it does, then it may be your motor and slamming the door hard soemtimes unsticks the motor. But i wouldn't reccomend this all the time. it's best to have it checked out to make sure you know what is bad. besides you can screw up relays and timers by doingwhat you want.

try swapping the switch from another window in order to rule out the switch.

the drivers door is a master switch so not sure another switch can be used in it's place.

There's probably multiple plugs on the underside of the master switch, one for each window. If that's the case, it might just plug right up.

The window of the car, (back left) whenever we open the door or close it the glass slips down. The motor of the window is still working. You can still hear that the motor is running. But the window cannot go up or down. How do I fix it? Can you perhaps post step by step pictures so that we can fix it ourselves? Thank you.

Hello - Well I have looked in two different manuals and there aren't step by step directions or pics to give you. I am sorry about that. So, what I have done is attach some info from one of the TSBs at least showing you a pic of the area on spring replacement to give you an idea....then I will do my best to kind of walk through what I believe you will be dealing with. The gears may be slipping where the motor connects to the regulator which may be why it will not stay up. Many times on this type, the regulator itself is okay it is just the motor. But you need to look it all over really good. If you are not sure how to do something then please ask........if you can send a pic that is even better. Also, if you have never done this, please be careful.......things are sharp in there and not much space. So move slow and just be careful............. Here is a pic of what you are getting to.

Remove the door panel......I would purchase some clips that hold the panel on before I remove the panel. Most of the time they break and then your door panel flops around. Just go to the dealer and they can look up how many clips and they should be abut 25 cents each or around there. You may have sound barrier or plastic over the door. Carefully remove that and do your best not to damage it. Once you get to the regulator try to lower the window until you can see the bolts that connect the regulator to the bottom of the window...... Take a couple of rubber door stops and gently jam between the door and the glass to keep the glass from falling down once disconnected. Disconnect the motor connector Remove all the bolts Remove the regulator with motor from the door. Perform a good inspection of the assemble to make sure nothing on the regulator is damaged that may have caused the problem. Remove the old motor - install the new. Then reverse up to the point of putting the door panel on then ops check to make sure it works okay. Then the door panel back on. Please let me know if you have any questions...........I hope this helps..........

Thank you for the your information about the inside of the car, but I only need to know how to take the the cover off of the door. Where are the bolts and screws? I only saw some bolts but most I did not know where they were. Thank you. Below are pictures of my car door.

Hello - So you can see it I have to blow it up and do past it in parts....so you will have to put them together. The power door mirror switch pops out and unplugs.........be careful and use a large flat tip so you don't chip it and watch the pressure on the door panel so you don't dent it permanently. I have attached the directions for you..........looks like about 3 bolts/screws......... The clips hold the panel on.............they have special tools for this but you can use a screw driver........ Hope this helps.............
