I have 60k miles on a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EXL.
In addition to the 60k regular maintenance, Honda suggested the following: 1) timing belt package @$889.00; 2) Valve Adjustment and Replace Valve Cover Gasket V6 Engine @$640.00; 3) Replace Platinum Spark Plugs; 4) Throttle Body Service.
Most of my driving is around town. I want the car to last me to 120,000 miles. I always take good care of my cars.
Is this necessary and or good service practice.

Hi meanauntcece,

Thank you for the donation.

Those recommended are preventive maintenence items and it is good to folllow accordingly in order to enable you to keep the vehicle for a long time.

The recommended timing belt replacement period is 105 k miles or 84 months whichever occurs first unless it is regularly driven under extreme conditions under temperatures exceeding 110 degrees F or under - 20 degrees F.

From the recommended schedule, you still have some time left before it is really necessary to replace them.
