2003 Honda Accord Maintenance Schedule

Hi There, my owner manual shows maintenance schedule for both Normal conditions and also for severe conditions. One of the severe condition it listed is "Driving in hot temperatures above 90 F. I live in Texas where it is usually more than 90 F temperature in summer. I just drive my car to and from work in the morning and evening. My question is what maintenance schedule I need to follow. Should I follow the normal schedule or severe schedule. My dealer ships always does the severe one but a local repair shop that I started going recently tells me I just need to follow the Normal maintenance schedule. Which one is correct. I appreciate the answer.
