2002 Honda Accord Smell exhaust in cabin

Hey everyone, I have a 2002 Accord, 4 cyl with 115,000 km (about 71,000 miles). A couple of days ago, I noticed the smell of exhaust in the cabin. The exhaust note is also louder. It sounds like it's coming from engine area. When I lift up the hood with engine running, I can smell the exhaust. Any thoughts on the problem area(s)? For this fix, would you recommend dealer or 'muffler shops?
Any advice would be appreciated.
