Hi my friend is having issues with fuild leaking from the transmission. It looks like the leak is coming from where the axel goes in to the transmission so we had both oil seals replaced a few weeks ago; but for some reason there is still leakage around the newly replaced seals. My questions are what would cause the trans/axel seals to go bad so quickly and what would cause the new seals to not fix the problem?

Hi there,

you have to be very careful fitting seals, they can easily distort and leak, also if the shaft is not put in square, it can drag on the seal and damage the seal surface, some time s they can leak from between the case and the seal,
the mechanic will have to re do the job and get it right.
