I have replaced the alternator several times in this car.
The last one was less than 18 months ago. My mech. tells me it could be just a bad alternator, but the people at the auto parts store said that it is putting off the app. amount of volts. Is there another possiblity? The dash lights will light up when you accelerate, and go out when the brake is applied. If you turn the lights on, it might or might not come on. The battery shows fully charged.. Could it be an electrical short?

The SRS light is on? What causes this, and how do I go about fixing it... I assumed that I had something to do with one of the sensors for the air bags, could it be something else?

Hi wrice,

Test the charging voltage. Check the crankshaft pulley, could be a bad harmonic balancer.

You need a scan to find out what is causing the SRS indicator light to show, guessing does not work.
