2000 Honda Accord Ac Problems

Air Conditioning problem
2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The AC compressor will kick on and off about every thirty seconds. At high speeds it seems to be more frequent.

I can hear a poping noise coming from the drier/accumalator and and somewhat high pitch squeel that sounds like it is coming from the passenger side under the dash.
The squell is intermitent and the poping noise is heard every time the compressor kicks off. When the compressor is on cold air does blow. Freon level is adequate.
