My check engine light is on and when i had it checked it was for "insufficient flow" through the EGR valve. I had it cleaned but the light came on. I took it back the my mechanic and they said that they think there is a carbon build up somewhere past the EGR valve and don't know how to clean it. Any suggestions on how this build up would be found/cleaned?
Also, there has recently been a high pitched almost grinding sound coming from the front of the car when i hit the breaks. I had my breaks checked but they seem to be find. Is this somehow related to the carbon build up?
thanks
