I have replaced bulbs, pedal stop switch and $80 module in trunk and I am still continuing to blow the stop light fuse under hood. I have tried a combination of lights in and out of connectors and the only one that does not blow the fuse is if I do not plug in the module in the trunk. I can't find an apparent ort at the connectors everything seems to be wrapped and taped tight. I did un wrap the wire going to the module but found nothing, Could the gearshift locking solenoid be bad?

The green wire when it leaves the brake light failure sensor is shorted to ground-remove all the bulbs from both tail light assembly-Get an ohmmeter zero it. At the sensor put one lead on the green wire and the other lead to a good ground if the needle moves or as in a digital meter it gives a reading its an indication of a short circuit that will blow the fuse-finding the short can be a bear but if its me I'll run another wire from the sensor to the bulb socket-

Note: if the short is before the sensor it will blow the fuse obviously this is not the case-Good Luck

I am going through similar problems, but I can't find the right fuse for my rear-passenger side brake light. Would you please tell me the name of this fuse?
