1999 Honda Accord back wind shield defroster

I noticed my back wind shield defroster is not working as of yesterday and now my car won't start today. By replacing the battery will that fix both problems?

are any other electrical systems working? i.e. headlights, radio etc..

do you hear a clicking sound when trying to start car or is the engine cranking but just not starting?

To answer your question, yes the lights worked and dashboard lit up and there was clicking when I tried to turn on the car. I had to eventually have the car towed and a new battery put in. But defrost is still not working.

check the fuse for the rear defroster, may have blown at same time battery died by coincedence
