I just took my car into the dealer for a check because the check engine light came on. They tell me I need to replace all my fuel injectors and get a valve adjustment - total cost around $1500. My questions are: (1) whether the fuel injectors can be cleaned instead of replaced on this particular engine; and (2) whether the 1998 accord even needs valve adjustments (my understanding is that from around 1986-1998 Honda engines were built such that they did not need valve adjustments).

Thanks,

Check engine light came On-What was the OBD2 code/s?

Buy the good stuff for cleaning injection system and run it thru and see what happens.

$1500 is lot of deniro to spent
