1998 Honda Accord bumps in the engine

Right after I brake when I resume acceleration I get a bump/pop from what seems to be inside the engine. It happens louder if its right after a harder stop.

You really aren't giving enough info/symptoms to do much of an diagnosis. It's most likely something to do with the front suspension than the engine. Have someone stand along side of the car to see if they can tell which side the noise is coming from. Sounds more likely to be a bad axle joint or something.
