Engine Cooling problem

My 97 Accord SE is losing coolant through the top of the expansion and spraying the engine compartment. After driving the car the expansion tank will be filled to the top with coolant while the radiator will have lost coolant. I am not sure what to do so I pour some of the expansion tank excess back into the radiator and top it off. This keeps hapening and I am out of ideas of how to fix it. Any advece would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan
