1996 Honda Accord Wet Floor Mats

Hi. I would appricate your help in trying to locate the source that is causing the driver's floor mat to be wet. I have checked that the floor under the mat doesn't have holes, so I suspect the water is leaking in aroung the windshield when it rains. Do you have any other suggesting as to the probable cause?
